Buttonbush is a woody shrub that can grow to the size of a small tree. It is found in swamps, marshes and wetlands and is easily identified by its white, balls of flowers, which smell like honey. Bees, birds and butterflies are attracted to the flowers and the seeds are important food for wildlife, especially ducks.
